Lew Electric manufactures 2 pop-up model types: the PUR and the PUFP. The PUR model is round, and the PUFP is rectangular. The PUR models are longer than the PUFP models and require more above-counter and below-counter space than PUFP units, for this reason they are a popular alternative when the PUR model isn’t a viable option.Each model is available as a 15A unit featuring smart-charging USB or a GFCI-protected 20A unit.

PUR15: 15-Amp Power and 2 Smart-Charging USB
The PUR15 features a round power station containing two tamper-resistant power outlets and two smart USB charging ports. The PUR15 model also features a 9-foot long power cord with a 3-prong plug. This pop-up is ideal for users who frequently use USB-charged devices, as it boasts two ports per outlet. This connectivity is ideal for kitchen chefs who use iPads or iPhones to reference recipes or cooking videos, as you can charge your device while you use it.
The PUR15 outlet is UL-1363 listed, and the PUR15 unit is ETL listed #4004534. The PUR15 is also IP54 rated, which is an ingress protection rating protecting against dust, debris, and water spray. This protection rating guarantees that when the unit is closed and encounters water, no water can enter the unit through the sides of the bezel. The PUR15 pop-up outlet also meets NEC code 406.5E, which accounts for liquid spills up to 32 ounces. This standard protection makes the pop-up a perfect fit for your kitchen counter. The PUR15 is a 15A pop-up outlet designed for indoor use only.
Installation
It is simple to install this innovative tool. After collaborating with your local electrician, cut a 3 ¾ inch round hole in the desired countertop. Drop the unit into the hole, and then secure it to the underside of the counter using the provided flange.
When the pop-up is in use, it stands at 6 ¼ inches from the top of the counter. When not in use, it is 9 ¼ inches below the counter. These measurements are key to note, as these pop-up outlets require appropriate clearance above and below the counter top.
Access
To access your pop-up outlet, simply press the top of the unit to release it from its locked position. The unit will pop up about an inch from the top of the counter. To fully extend the unit, pull from the top until the unit locks in place. When you are finished using the pop-up outlet, press the Unlock button on the unit and push it into the counter until it latches closed.
PUR15-2P: 15-Amp Power 4 Smart-Charging USB
Lew Electric offers another 15A pop-up option, the PUR15-2P. This double-decker outlet contains two 15A, tamper-resistant outlets and four smart-charging USB outlets. This pop-up model is ideal for the tech-savvy family, as it houses charging capabilities for 8 devices! The PUR15-2P would be a smart edition to any home office or dedicated work space.
The PUR-15-2P is available in two finishes, stainless steel (shown below) and black. The PUR-15-2P offers UL-1363 and ETL #4004534 listings that protect against water spray from any direction and debris from entering the unit. This pop-up duplex also meets NEC code 406.5E, which protects the unit from up to 32 ounces of water.
Installation
When the pop-up is in use, it stands at 10 ¾ inches from the top of the counter. When not in use, it is 13 ¾ inches below the counter. These measurements are especially important to note, as these pop-up outlets require appropriate clearance above and below the counter top. These spatial requirements are larger than the single-outlet PUR15.
PUR20: 20-Amp Waterproof, 2 Power, GFCI-Protected
For a more powerful option, look at the 20A version of the PUR line. The PUR20 features a round power station containing two tamper-resistant, GFCI-protected power outlets. The PUR20 model also features a 9-foot long power cord with a 3-prong plug. This pop-up is ideal for users who frequently use kitchen appliances that require 20A.
