The RCT600BZE Surface Mount, Countertop Receptacles are the first pop-up Hubbell Pop-Up receptacles UL listed for countertop applications and permanent installations. Receptacles for countertops provide a power source ideal for kitchen and bath counters and islands. The receptacles feature Hubbell’s patent pending silicone gaskets and patented cam action tamper-resistant technology. The compact design minimizes space required on the countertop as well as underneath in the cabinet area. Charge multiple devices at once with this stylish, sleek design solution. The Hubbell series of Pop Up Outlets are extremely easy to use and operate. To open the device, simply press the top of the unit and it will naturally rise out of the counter surface on its own. You will then have access to the two receptacles for charging phones, laptops, or tablets. You may also notice one outlet is upside down, this is to allow you to plug in larger style plugs commonly used in kitchen appliances, like mixers, blenders, and other heavy duty kitchen tools. When finished simply unplug all your devices and gently push the outlet back down into the housing, until it clicks into place.
This unit comes in a beautiful matte bronze/brown finish, however if that does not match your kitchen color design, these units are available in 7 different finishes total. It installs as a surface mounted, which is slightly elevated above the counter. Each units includes wireless charging covers that are interchangeable in Gray, White, or Black.
Hubbell is the first to market a countertop receptacle that is UL Listed. It allows compliance with NEC® 406.5(E) (countertops), 406.5(F) (work surfaces), and 406.5(H) (seating areas). Pop-Up Receptacles are tested and water resistant to a half gallon spill.
